The three car donations you can read about in today’s blog postings will enable the Prostate Cancer Awareness Project (PCAP) to provide knowledge and motivation to action to men who might otherwise have found themselves victims of this insidious disease. One car donation can make a huge difference.
Far too many men find themselves with a diagnosis of metastatic prostate cancer. It should be detected before it metastasizes, a word that illustrates the problem. Many people don’t know that “metastasize” means “to spread to another parts of the body”. When prostate cancer spreads, it commonly goes to the bones or the lymph glands, yet even then it is still “prostate cancer”.
As time passes, more will be learned about this cancer – how to detect it, how to gauge its seriousness, how to treat it and when not to treat it. As knowledge grows, PCAP will continue to use that knowledge to encourage all men to be proactive, to their own benefit and that of their dependents.
The goal of Cars for Prostate Cancer is to fund PCAP’s educational mission.
