Car Donation in New Jersey

Car Donation in New Jersey

One week ago today, the memoir of Johnny Ramone, New Jersey born and bred, was finally published.  He died of Prostate Cancer September 15, 2004 after struggling with the disease for almost 5 years.  On June 18, 2004, he and his wife published a press release specifically stating that he was not dying, even though the cancer had metastasized throughout his body.

The Tax Ramifications of Your Donation

I know I’m being redundant, but I can’t say it enough – the biggest contributing factor in the increasing number of Prostate Cancer diagnoses and deaths is simple ignorance.

Your car donation, or that of any other motorized vehicle, is used solely for Prostate Cancer Awareness by the Prostate Cancer Awareness Project (PCAP).

There are specific reasons why we believe that we stand out in the broad spectrum of vehicle donation charities.  We’ve been doing this for 13 years and know the important nuances of what we do.  For example,

The tax deduction you will receive will fall into 1 of 3 classifications:

• If it is worth less that $500, you will get a $500 tax deduction,

• If it is worth between $500 and $5,000, you can get a tax write-off for the actual amount it sells for,

• If it is worth more than $5,000, and it qualifies under the tax law definition of Material Improvements, you may actually get a deduction for more than the sales price.  Click on the link above for more details.

The bottom line is that all you have to do is contact us.  Yes, there is a proper process, but that’s our job, not yours.  We will show you how to donate a car for charity in New Jersey.

Help us assure that men like 55-year-old Johnny Ramone have the information they need to avoid his fate.  Our best wishes go to his loved ones.
