48′ Sport Fisher – Boat Donation

Fishing Boat Donation

Boat donation to charity

It’s common for boats to be donated to charity, but it’s not often that a monster like this comes our way.  This Pacemaker 48′ Sport Fisher is a stunning boat, with two full state rooms and attached baths makes this a floating condo.  The 48 Pacemaker is a strongly built, practically laid out vessel.  They  are reputed for their great fishability with a comfortable ride in a seaway and great stability at trolling speeds.  This boat is powered by twin Detroit Diesel Engines, producing 380 horse power each and turning Allison hydraulic marine transmissions.

This particular vessel has relatively low hours on the overhauled engines and has also recently had all new tanks installed.  Due in part to the large front deck, there is plenty of room for a deck crane and dingy, which could come in handy, when morred to an anchor.   The donor had a custom tower installed for those long tuna fishing trips.  It’s quite deceiving how high this tower is, until you climb up there and look down.  I couldn’t imagine being perched up there out in the middle of the ocean with some large swells, or at least without my fair share of Dramamine..

Boarding via the transom door and cockpit, access is had forward to the salon or up a ladder to starboard to the flying bridge.  The flying bridge has the vessels only steering station with full controls and electronics.  A “tournament” layout provides seating for guests forward of the console.  The salon has a large open seating area.  To port forward is a wet bar with sink, refrigerator and ice maker.  This is a very open floor plan, with plenty of room to furnish it with a large sofa, entertainment center and still room for table and chairs.  It’s also equipped with sliding side windows, which makes for a very open-air feel.

Down forward to starboard is the galley with 2 burner electric stove and oven, microwave oven, AC refrigeration / freezer unit and stainless sink. Opposite to port is the master cabin with bath and all the way forward is a double “V” berth cabin with escape hatch over head.

Although this boat is in need of some refinishing and detail work, we will always accept donations of this caliber and we are set up to handle most any type of donation, whether it be a car, truck, boat or RV.
